Color Palette Generator

This is a free online tool for randomly generating color palettes for your next art or design project. Use the buttons to modify the colors. Save the finished palette as a convenient image. Remember to bookmark this page for future use.

How To Use The Color Palette Generator

  • Generate a random group of five colors by clicking ‘Generate’.
  • Click any color to replace it with a new random color.
  • Lighten the generated color palette by clicking ‘Lighten’.
  • Darken the generated color palette by clicking ‘Darken’.
  • Increase the saturation of the generated color palette by clicking ‘Saturate’.
  • Decrease the saturation of the generated color palette by clicking ‘Desaturate’.
  • Warm the generated color palette by clicking ‘Warmer’.
  • Cool the generated color palette by clicking ‘Cooler’.
  • The quantize button toggles to CYMK and rounds values to the nearest 10%.
  • Click the CYMK checkbox to toggle working within a CYMK color space.
  • The default color space is RGB.
  • Click ‘Save’ to download a convenient PNG image of your color palette.
  • Tip: Paste the resulting palette on an empty layer your favorite paint program (Photoshop, Clip Studio, Procreate), and select colors from your generated color palette using the eyedropper tool.
